USCAR has published a set of guidelines to assist in the development, verification and validation of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) components that are typically used in the context of perception and planning subsystems in next generation Advanced Driver Assist Systems
(ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicles (AV) features.
Inspired by ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination), for the purposes of providing similar guidelines for the development of AI/ML software the term DL-SPICE was adopted where DL refers to “Deep Learning.”
