Occupant Safety Research Partnership

Welcome to the official Web page of the Occupant Safety Research Partnership (OSRP).   

Mission

To conduct or direct precompetitive research and development on crash-test dummies and related areas such as modeling, instrumentation, data management and reduction and subsystem safety test development.

Goals:

  • Provide technical leadership in the worldwide harmonization of crash test dummies, advanced restraint systems and other crash safety-related areas.
  • Provide early coordinated technical input to governmental and non-governmental (e.g., IIHS) crashworthiness research activities in a non-adversarial way.
  • Develop potential improvements and new methods for crashworthiness design and testing.
